COSEE CA offers programs nationwide for scientists, educators and students:

  1. Communicating Ocean Sciences: Courses, co-taught by scientists and educators, for undergraduates, graduate students, and informal educators*. University students conduct outreach to local schools or in aquariums and museums.
  2. The Ocean Literacy Campaign: Scientists, teachers and informal educators working together to ensure that K-12 students and the public understand the importance of the ocean.
  3. Teaching Ocean Sciences in the 21st Century Classroom: Middle school students take virtual field trips into science labs at Scripps, and engage with graduate students about their research.
  4. Marine Careers Web Site: Learn about the incredible array of fascinating marine science and technical careers that await you. Especially designed for students and career counselors.
  5. MARE Center at Scripps: Elementary teachers in Southern California attend workshops and implement the award winning MARE curriculum. Or find out about MARE nationwide.
